Terms of Service
Last updated: November 4, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the SWU Hyperbuild mobile app, the website at swuhyperbuild.com, and the online services behind them, including online matches (together, the “Service”). The Service is operated by bonafidePRO (“we”, “us”, “our”).
By downloading, installing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your country, to use the Service. Online play lets you interact with other players, so it is not intended for children. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you may only use the Service with the permission of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.
2. Unofficial fan app
SWU Hyperbuild is an unofficial, fan-made app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Lucasfilm Ltd., Disney, or Fantasy Flight Games. Star Wars, Star Wars: Unlimited, and all related names, card names, card text, artwork, logos, and other materials are the property of their respective owners and are used for reference and gameplay purposes only. Nothing in the Service grants you any right to use those materials outside the Service.
3. Your license to use the app
The app is licensed, not sold. On iOS, your use is also governed by Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement and the App Store terms; on Android, by the Google Play Terms of Service. If those terms conflict with these Terms, these Terms apply to the extent the store terms allow.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use.
You may not:
- copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, or sublicense the app or any part of the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or try to extract the source code, card data, or content bundles, except where the law expressly allows it;
- bypass or tamper with security, encryption, content signing, version checks, or access controls; or
- use the Service to build a competing product or to scrape or bulk-download content.
4. Accounts and online identity
Online features use your platform gaming account (Apple Game Center on iOS, Google Play Games on Android) to sign you in. When you sign in we assign you a player ID and a friend code, and we use your display name to show you to other players.
You are responsible for activity on your account and for keeping your device and platform account secure. Your display name must not be offensive, hateful, sexually explicit, or misleading, must not impersonate anyone (including us, other players, or official Star Wars: Unlimited staff or brands), and must not infringe anyone’s rights. We may change or remove a display name that breaks these rules.
5. Online matches
Online matches let you play Star Wars: Unlimited against other players using a private room code or random matchmaking. Online matches are currently in beta.
- The server decides the game. Matches are run by our server, which applies the game rules and determines every result. The server’s game state and the outcome it records are final for the Service, even if you believe a ruling or interaction was handled incorrectly. Please report rules problems so we can fix them.
- Timers, disconnects, and forfeits. Matches use turn timers. If you run out of time, stay inactive, leave, or stay disconnected for too long, you may forfeit the match. You can also concede at any time. We are not responsible for losses caused by your device, network, battery, or platform services.
- Match recordings. Every online match is recorded on our servers: the decks used (leader, base, and card list), the random shuffle seed, every game action, the result, and limited technical diagnostics. Recordings do not contain your display name, platform ID, email, device ID, or IP address. We use them to replay and investigate matches, fix bugs, enforce these Terms, improve the rules engine and AI, and produce statistics such as card and deck trends. Recordings of completed matches may be kept indefinitely. See our Privacy Policy for details and how to request deletion.
- Room codes. Anyone who has a private room’s code can try to join it. Share codes only with people you want to play.
- No guarantee of availability. Online play depends on servers, matchmaking, and other players. We do not guarantee that a match will be available, that a match will complete, or that the Service will be uninterrupted. We may limit, reset, or change online features, including during maintenance or app updates, and may require you to update the app to keep playing online.
6. Fair play and conduct
When you use online features, you agree not to:
- cheat, including by using modified clients, bots, scripts, automation, or any tool that gives you an unfair advantage or plays for you;
- intentionally exploit bugs, desyncs, or rules errors to win or to disrupt a match, instead of reporting them;
- collude with another player to fix results, or deliberately abandon or stall matches to harass an opponent;
- attack, overload, probe, or interfere with our servers, networks, or other players’ connections, or access the Service by any means other than the official app;
- harass, threaten, or abuse other players, including through display names;
- use the Service to share or distribute unlawful content; or
- break any applicable law or the terms of the App Store, Google Play, Game Center, or Google Play Games.
If you find a bug or exploit, please report it to [email protected].
We may investigate suspected violations using match recordings and server logs. If we believe you have broken these rules, we may, without prior notice, end or void a match, record a forfeit, remove your display name, and suspend or permanently block your access to online features or the whole Service.
7. Solo play, Learn to Play, and the rules engine
Solo play against the AI, Learn to Play lessons, and practice tools are for practice and enjoyment. The app’s rules engine is our own implementation of the Star Wars: Unlimited rules and may contain errors or differ from official rulings. The official Comprehensive Rules and official rulings always take precedence — the app is not an authority for tournaments or organized play.
8. Card data, images, and content updates
The Service includes card information and images for reference, and downloads card and content updates over the air. We try to keep this information accurate and current, but card text, legality, formats, and availability may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong. Always check official sources before relying on card details for organized play. We may add, change, or remove cards, formats, and content at any time.
9. Your decks, collection, and backups
Decks, collection data, settings, and progress you create stay on your device. If you turn on cloud backup, that data is saved to your own iCloud or Google Drive account under Apple’s or Google’s terms; we do not have access to it. You are responsible for keeping your own backups. We are not responsible for lost data, including data lost when you delete the app, change devices, or turn off backup.
Decks and other content you create remain yours, and you are responsible for what you share. Deck links you publish or share are public to anyone who has the link.
When you submit a deck to play an online match, you allow us to use that deck list as part of the match recording described in section 5.
10. Beta features
Features labeled beta, preview, or early access (including online matches and Learn to Play) are still being developed. They may contain bugs, change significantly, lose progress or records, or be removed at any time.
11. Patreon and support
SWU Hyperbuild is free to download. If you choose to support the project on Patreon, that support is voluntary, is processed by Patreon under Patreon’s terms, and any refunds are handled under Patreon’s policies. Any supporter perks are described on Patreon and may change.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party services, including Apple, Google, Game Center, Google Play Games, iCloud, Google Drive, Patreon, and our hosting and infrastructure providers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for them or for their availability.
13. App Store and Google Play terms
These Terms are between you and us only, not Apple or Google. We, not Apple or Google, are responsible for the app and its content, maintenance, support, and any claims relating to it (including product liability, legal or regulatory compliance, and intellectual property claims).
If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store: your license is limited to Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Usage Rules; Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support; if the app fails to meet any applicable warranty you may notify Apple, and to the maximum extent permitted by law Apple has no other warranty obligation; Apple is not responsible for addressing any claims by you or third parties relating to the app; Apple is not responsible for investigating, defending, or settling any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights; you confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and are not on any U.S. Government list of prohibited or restricted parties; and Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you.
14. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE”, WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, THAT RULES AND CARD DATA ARE ACCURATE, OR THAT DATA WILL NOT BE LOST.
15. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROGRESS, MATCH RESULTS, GOODWILL, OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US DIRECTLY IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR US $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not fully apply to you.
16. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting the app. You can ask us to delete your online player record by contacting support. We may suspend or end your access to the Service, or discontinue the Service or any feature, at any time, including for violations of these Terms. Sections 2, 3, 6, and 12 through 18 survive termination.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms on this page and change the “Last updated” date, and for significant changes we may also notify you in the app. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
18. General
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which we are based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where the law of your country of residence requires otherwise. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms and our Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and us about the Service.
