Play vs AI — Your Next Deck Test Drive

You built the list. You tuned the curve. You stared at the deck stats until 2 a.m.
Now you want to know how it actually plays — without hunting down a table, a friend, or a tournament queue.

Solo play is coming to SWU Hyperbuild.

We’re building a full Play vs AI mode right inside the app: pick your deck, pick an opponent, and jump straight into a real match on your phone. No second device. No workarounds. Just you, your list, and the board.

Choose your matchup

The new Play tab starts simple: select your deck, choose an AI opponent, and hit Start Match. Swap leaders, try different archetypes, and rerun the same matchup until you know exactly where your list shines — and where it breaks.

Real rules. Real phases. Real decisions.

This isn’t a stripped-down sandbox. From the first moment of Round 1, solo play follows the flow you know from tabletop SWU — starting with Watto’s Chance Cube and the choice that sets the tone for the entire game.

Then comes the mulligan — that gut-check every pilot knows. Keep the hand you’re holding, or shuffle back and commit to what the deck gives you next.

Into the action

Once you’re past setup, it’s all there: resources ticking up, leaders on the board, space and ground lanes to fight over, and the Pass / Claim rhythm of a live action phase. Test your early turns, your resource math, and your big swing lines — then iterate on the deck builder and run it back.

Why we’re excited

Solo play has been one of the most requested features since day one. Hyperbuild was built to make deck building fast and fun — and the natural next step is letting you play those decks without leaving the app.

Whether you’re:

  • Breaking in a new list before locals night
  • Learning a new leader at your own pace
  • Experimenting with tech you wouldn’t risk in a ranked queue
  • Just wanting one more game when nobody else is around

…Play vs AI is built for exactly that.

Coming soon

Solo play is still in active development — we’re polishing the experience before it lands in your hands. More details (and a release timeline) are on the way.

Want early access or want to shape the feature? Drop us a line on the Feedback and Support page. Tell us what you’d want from solo mode: difficulty tiers, specific AI decks, scenario modes — we’re listening.

Stay tuned. Your decks are about to get a lot more mileage.
